In the novel Tuesdays with Morrie, Mitch Albom faces major reattachment and life changes born from the impending death and relationship with his professor, Morrie Schwartz. Without delay, Mitch learns how to rediscover and reconnect with his emotions which was greatly inspired by his professor. Furthermore, Mitch’s actions towards others were significantly influenced by the growing relationship he had with Morrie. In due time, Mitch faced enormous life change relating to his occupation and life’s purpose, due to the life lessons shared by Mr. Schwartz. Through witnessing the prolonged withering of Morrie Schwartz, Mitch Albom can better connect with his emotions, actions, and occupations. Morrie Schwartz considerably aided Mitch in addressing apathy and adrift emotions. Quickly, Mitch discovered his sense of forgiveness and reconciliation after witnessing Morrie’s many tears over his own journey of forgiveness. Subsequently, the renewed love and respect Mitch gained for himself and others was hatched in the correlation with his elderly professor. Mitch Albom grew in knowledge and sentiment on the process of death and what it really means to die. Gradually, Mitch had learned a great deal about putting family before anything in any circumstance from his teacher, Morrie. Additionally, Mr. Albom learned how to regulate his stress levels while interacting with people through ‘Letting Go’ as Morrie would state. Finally, Mitch learned not to let the culture he lives in influence who he is.
