This new American State will be called Monkaushka derived from the native American term: trembling earth or earth quake. The people that live in this state are very friendly people who have a tendency to be outspoken with their beliefs and very warm in their hearts. They are homely folk and tend not to leave their close knit areas for too long. There is an urban legend that crawls around the towns that no one has ever left this state; only those who weren’t born here can come and go. You would think that is ridiculous but the landscape that this state resides on is unlike any other state and can verify this legend for many people. Mining is this state’s biggest form of income as it gives such a great natural resource. They also mine diamonds but those are more of a rare find and those who find them must transport them straight to the capitol building. Although this is a booming business, it is the only primary product that they sell throughout the entire state meaning that those who are in the mining business tend to be those who are better off in life and those who aren’t in the mining business and instead in the herding business struggle more in the life than they wish to be. Because of this there is much poverty that sweeps through this state. It doesn’t help that they have constant landslides that destroy homes and property; property that most people can’t afford to rebuild on. To make things worse many of those who can afford to have houses or shelter tend to build on the mountain slopes because that is the only place they have available to them since the flat lands are taken by herds of animals or small towns. As this state is a small state with a population that is about half that of Iowa’s, there are only a few towns that exist and no, there are no chain grocery stores. The people of this state must survive on what they can grow or hunt or kill to survive. You may say: “Well, why do these people live here if they can’t have the amenities that other states have?” and the answer to that is; these people are very proud and patriotic of their state. It may be small but the mining qualities that they have to give to the United States keeps them going. The location for these mining centers are within mountains with rocky slopes to exporting their product out of state is tricky but they
