Monroe was first discovered by a photographer named David Conover, and he immediately offered her a modeling job because he was stunned with her beauty. After she accepted, she appeared in several magazines, and soon, she became a famous model. Conover introduced Monroe to other photographers and they encouraged her to apply to the Blue Book Model Agency, owned by Emmeline Snively, and signed the contract in August 1945.
