Abraham Lincoln was a tall person and he was serious and not the type of person you would want to be. He was also very intimidating looking like you wouldn't want to be friends with him. Have you ever wondered about Abraham Lincoln’s character traits? Was he funny? Was he friendly? Was he sad? Was he happy? Well in two different stories the two authors speaks about Lincoln's traits in different ways. First Russell Freedman in “Backwoods Boy” would be talking about Lincoln's traits. Second Barbara Radner in “Honest Abe” would be talking about his honesty. In "Backwoods Boy" Russell Freedman and in "Honest Abe" Barbara Radner and how she talks about Lincoln's traits; however, Freedman talks about a variety of traits such as happiness, sadness, intelligence, and trustworthiness, and Radner talks about his honesty. …show more content…

So it would be like if he was happy about something the next minute he would be sad about a thing. In the book when Someone says “ Yet even then, people noticed that he could be moody and withdrawn. As a friend put it, he was ‘witty, sad and reflective by turns’(414).” This states that even other people notice that Abe can be moody. A second quote that helps state my theme of character traits is that. “I never saw Abe after he was twelve that he didn’t have a book in his hand or in his pocket,(414)” Dennis Hanks remembered. Again this helps because one of his traits was that he loved to read all the time anywhere and all the time. I picked these two quotes to help state my theme of character
