Record labels use these companies to promote and advertise the artists on their label on places such as radio and television which are seen by a large amount of people . In today's world, the music industry is slowly dying as in todays terms virtually everything is able to be recoverd digitally, the amount of record sales are declining, not only from legal downloads from sites such as iTunes, but illegal file sharing on sites such as mediafire and the piratebay has also became a common way of people downloading musc . Independent music labels have a different approach on producing music that major labels do . They take a less money making approach and more of a social approach to music as they do not have to deal with corporate company telling them what they should make whcih means they can decide what to produce. However without finances indie labels still have trouble getting there music
