Mother Nature Animal Therapy Ethics Policy
Mother Nature Animal Therapy (MNAT) is a non-profit organization located in the San Francisco Bay Area that provides animal-assisted therapy to adults and children. Our mission is to provide compassionate care by enriching their lives and improving their wellbeing by interacting with animals. To accomplish this task, the organization has committed to this ethics policy.
• Obey government laws, rules, regulations, and applicable codes of professional responsibility
• Treat clients as well as organizational animals, staff, and volunteers with compassion, dignity, and respect
• Efficiently utilize the donations of our donors and sponsors, and prevent any conflicts of interest

Our organization is made up of our animals, staff, and volunteers. Without any one of them, we would not be able to do our work.
• Maintain the health, safety, and training of animals, staff, and volunteers
• Therapy animals should always be under the control of their guardian, for their safety as well as that of our clients
• Treat animals humanely with compassion, dignity, and respect, and understand their needs in addition to our clients – communicate any issues with clients and/or their caregivers so that all parties are in understanding should they
