In contrast to Superman, Batman has a deeper personal connection to fighting the crime and more passion and drive to rise to the top regardless of the opinions of others. Batman’s moral code often comes into question by others with many in society as his individualism often leads him astray of abiding the laws. This darker side that emerges in Batman’s pursuit of revenge also questions what the definition of a superhero is. Batman is often battling against authority figures in the pursuit of his own sense of justice. Multiple demands for the “immediate arrest of the Batman, citing him as a harmful influence on children” demonstrates the negative views that society and law enforcement have of Batman

Superhero comics contain many conventions such as morals, a motive, extraordinary superpowers, a back story, and so on. Batman and Superman are a couple of superheroes from a wide variety of superhero comics. Both of them try to protect mankind from any hurt, harm, or danger that may come. A similarity between both of these superheroes is that they want justice in the world. With so much crime and torture going on in the world, mankind looks for a higher power to help stop it.

Both universes have a plethora of characters ranging from talking trees to world conquering gods, and both universes have a team to prevent any world conquering. Marvel has the avengers a team comprised of some of the most well-known marvel characters in the world such as Captain America, Thor, hulk, spider-man, wolverine, and iron man.
This is the archetype that has the “basic, primitive animal instincts...behaviors that society considers evil and immoral… [that] must be restrained... If not, society will likely punish us.”(Cite Textbook). Bruce is a character who is aware of these instincts and behaviors. However, he cannot completely restrain or suppress them, so he channels them to the Batman persona.
To begin with, I would like to discuss who is batman. First, many great heroes are born out of tragedy, and for no one is this truer than Bruce Wayne. He was the only child in a family commonly regarded as Gotham City’s finest. But his innocence was torn away the night his parents were murdered before his eyes.
Through differences in abilities, adversity and goals, it is easy to compare and contrast the two. One of the main differences between the two are their abilities. What makes Batman such a unique hero is that he has no powers. His main talents are designing and inventing tools to help him achieve superhuman abilities.
