Ridley Scott’s Alien was a revolutionary film for the horror industry, bringing a real nightmare to life with surreal environments created by H.R. Giger and Scott’s truly terrifying special effects. I highly recommend this film any horror or science fiction enthusiast, let alone anyone else. It is a natural born horror movie that will leave your imagination clawing at the inside of
In the documentary, Waiting for Superman, Davis Guggenheim discusses the defects of the United States Public Education. Guggenheim interviews influential educators that bring their ideas and opinions regarding the education. Throughout the documentary, Guggenheim also presents five students whose are trying to get accepted into charter schools so they can have a better education than what they would receive in a public school. After watching this documentary, I was astounded by statistics and revelations about the United State Public schools systems. Although, I graduated from a public school and plan to work in a public school this documentary shed some light into what I will be facing in this academic
Artifact: Captain America: Civil War (2016) Importance of Artifact: This artifact is important because it displays one individual’s courage and integrity to stand for what they believe is right. Captain America has always been a symbol of American rebellion and freedom since his conception in the original comic books. This theme is still alive today in this modern adaptation of his story in the 2016 film when he refuses to sign the Sokovia Accords (peace treaty agreement), a legal document that gives the United Nations control over the Avengers, even if it means fighting his friends. Genre: Superhero science fiction film, thriller (war movie) Similar Artifacts:
Logan was the perfect sendoff for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and had astonishing performances with an emotional story. Spider-Man: Homecoming and GOTG vol. 2 had some flaws but they were both some of Marvel’s finest movies. The LEGO Batman Movie was fun for what it was and had smart writing. I was disappointed with Wonder Woman. Other than Chris Pine and Gal Gadot, the acting wasn’t that great.
Sequel fatigue is a popular condition, for years now the highest grossing films have been either sequels or franchises, and the elitist spits out the word Hollywood as a metonymy for all that is wrong with the artless entertainment industry. They have point: Hollywood is an industry and the bloated gatekeepers are fiducially bound not artistically. Their primary concern is what sells, and that makes them rather conservative, banking on things that resemble things that sold before, hence the glut of sequels and franchises, but also more insidiously the torrent of passable “safe” films: demographic pandering by the numbers, relying on formula and cliché. These films can still be well crafted like Marvel3 instalment Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel team super hero film. Nonetheless, it is controversial to the audience whether it fits the sub-genre of a team-up film such as The Avengers. Due to the characters, none of them have their individual movie like Iron Man. However, James Gunn uses points of view and actor’s acting to enhance the intimacy among the characters that makes this movie fits into the team super hero film genre. In addition, Gunn uses makeups to not make any of the roles too standout because they all have unique appearances that balance out on screen.
Remember the time when Joss Whedon allegedly claimed that the resurrection of Phil Coulson may have taken "some punch out of" the Avengers? It appears that the comments made by the executive producer of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been taken out of context and he 's actually happy to bring Clark Gregg 's character back to life. During a recent interview with the Oxford Union, Whedon spoke up about the issue and confirmed what Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans have known all along. " No, I don 't regret bringing back Phil Coulson because he 's Clark Gregg, and he 's so badass," he said.
With over seven billion people on the planet, it is challenging to believe that I am unique. Rather, it 'd be egotistical to claim that I, and I alone, have this one distinctive, singular something to contribute to the Michigan State community. That said, however, I do believe that I have qualities that would further enrich and diversify Michigan State 's campus life. To take from the famous quote from "The Incredibles," if everybody is special, then, effectively, no one is. The question of what would "add to the overall richness of campus" life becomes complicated, considering that.
I read the review of a kid’s film, “The Lego Movie” by Christy Lemire. The author seemed to be very surprised by the way she reacted to the film. She felt that it went beyond the traditional genre for children and provided a response in her review. What she felt astounding her, so much that she stated how the old cliché saying “I laughed, I cried” was very much true for her. The common expectations about the genre of the film that she points out in her review is catchy theme songs, predictable scenes, hacky punchlines, and an exhausting simple message.
Super-Size Me is a documentary film, created by Morgan Spurlock. This documentary emphasizes the message of the risks of consuming fast food and the outcomes that fast food has on people’s health. Spurlock came up with this idea from a lawsuit that involved two young girls suing McDonalds for their weight problems. The presiding judge over this case ruled that there was not sufficient evidence that their health issues were caused by consuming food from McDonalds. As an experiment to see if these girl’s claim had any merit, Spurlock was determined to only consume food from McDonalds for thirty days and see if there was any correlation between eating fast food and declining of health.

Marketing and the film industry work to help sell product and work together to appeal to consumers. In the 2011 movie “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold” directed by Morgan Spurlock a thesis is developed that advertising influences our everyday lives and it's up to the consumer if they want to take it in or not. In this movie Morgan decides that he's gonna make a movie where he gets companies to help pay for his movie. On this journey we see him getting the companies to give him money and e does task necessary to get the money.

A group of five people will have to save the galaxy from danger. The people who have do this is Peter Quill/Starlord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora, and Drax the Destroyer. Sound in this scene is intense and dramatic music.
Understandably, DC comics competitively initiate its own cinematic universe after comfortably put all energy on ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’. ‘Batman v. Superman’ is the first step to start DC Cinematic Universe. Avengers’ success, in my opinion, has raising expectation of ‘Batman v. Superman’ in a critical level. I noticed people are too optimistic with the prospect of ‘Batman v.
