Moving To 6th Grade

Moving to 6th grade has been a breeze. It has its ups and downs but I’m mostly liking it. Its ups and downs are,since moving it has made me more responsible, friendships have been affected negatively and positively, and it has made me adjust to the school work and the rules. The first reason I have changed since 6th grade is now I have more responsibilities. Firstly, I think it teaches me responsibility because I have to remember my locker combo. I have to remember this because if I forgot it I wouldn’t be able to get the stuff I need for that class and if that happened I would be in big trouble. I think it has affected my friendships because when I got into 6th grade I made some new friends. I have liked having new friends because they help me with stuff and I get to have fun with them. Also coming into 6th grade I don’t see some of my old friends that much anymore. I don’t see them as much because we have different classes and it makes me sad. Also since I have moved some of my friends act differently. What I mean by this is now they are in middle school they cuss more and it makes me sad. That is how I think my friendships have been affected since I have moved to 6th grade. Finally, since I have moved to 6th grade I have had to adjust to the rules and the schoolwork. To start with I think moving has made me adjust because of the homework. I have to prioritize because I have practice like 1 hour after school and if I don't get that done I have to stay up and do homework. Also, harder schoolwork has become a problem. It is a problem because now I have to study more and I have to prioritize. Finally I have more freedom! I love having more freedom because now we don’t have to do everything with the teachers holding our hands. One example is that instead of walking in a line everywhere we can walk wherever we want.
