Throughout Unit 3, we focused on the 16th century and 17th century putting a specific focus on poetry and plays of that time period. One of the most influential poets of that time and of all time is William Shakespeare. Known for popularizing the poetic style known as the English sonnet, it was soon renamed after him because of his excessive use of it. One of the numerous plays Shakespeare wrote was Much Ado About Nothing. Much Ado About Nothing is the tale of love and the misadventures that go along with it. It has multiple qualities which would classify it as a comedy. A comedy tends to have specific elements such as: a set of lovers kept apart by friend or family, a convoluted plot bringing them together, an agreement between the lovers
