What can be better than searching for a new car? Growing up as a kid you start to learn what some of your favorite things are. I learned very fast that one of my favorite cars was and still is a Mustang. For years, I dreamt of having my own Mustang. Now that i’ve gotten older and closer to getting my license, that dream is becoming more and more of a reality. I’ve told my parents that I have my eyes on a Mustang as my first car and why not start off with the newest, most improved version. Now before I even began researching them, I knew that the 2018 Mustang would be a little expensive but Ford has made new and major improvements for any type of driver to enjoy. Of course, anybody selling a product wants to outsell it’s competition so you’ll also see advertisement from other companies, sometimes stating why it’s better than the others, or showing off its features as well. I needed to see how the Mustang looked compared to other vehicles so I searched it’s biggest competitor, the Charger. I found that the new Charger allows you to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds (while Mustangs are listed to go 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds), it has been labeled as a “superb braking car” and it has good legroom (“Brandon Ford compares 2018 Mustang to its greatest competition”). I have practiced driving in both cars and I can actually say these facts are true. However, it lacks interior space and it is a gas guzzler. Even though the pros are good, the cons really do change your perspective on the car. Nobody wants to fill up a car every 5 minutes just to go to Wendy’s and I think that’s what will really set this car back from competing against other cars like it. I did a compare and contrast on both cars after researching both of their advertisements. The advertisements for Mustangs are “a safe, family-friendly sports car” and the advertisements for Chargers are “a rear-wheel drive, muscle-sudan.” (“Car Gurus”) I’ve also seen reviews that give Mustangs an 8 for safety and then give Chargers a 6 for safety, so there’s a lot of true advertisement for the
