Many people wonder if Ford is better or worse than Chevrolet. They wonder if the F-series is better than the Silverado, if the C-Max Hybrid is better than the Spark, or if the Mustang is better than the Camaro. This type of issue usually, if not always, includes some sort of bias. Ford is better than Chevrolet because, although the Chevrolet slightly outdoes Ford according to power train, Ford has a better fuel economy, payload, exterior design, speed, and in the hybrid's case, less CO2 emissions. Many people may wonder if the F-150 is better than the Silverado or the Silverado is better than it. Nearly nothing between these two trucks is enhanced that much over the other. Rather than three motor options like the Silverado, this truck has four different options concerning motor types. These four motors are the 3.5 Liter dual-turbo EcoBoost V6 with 365 horsepower, as formerly mentioned, the 5.0 Liter V8 with 385 horsepower for those who seek extra power and torque behind the wheel, the regular 3.5 Liter V6 with 283 horsepower behind the wheel without EcoBoost, and finally, the all-new 2.7 Liter EcoBoost V6 with 325 horsepower. The motors used were the 3.5 Liter V6 EcoBoost in the Ford and the 6.2 Liter V8 in the Chevrolet. The Ford went first. It pulled 365 horsepower in five thousand revolutions per minute (rpm). It also pulled and astounding torque of 420 pounds per foot (lb.-ft.) at 2500 rpm. It produced a peak horsepower of 296.37 which was lower than expected, unfortunately, and reached a maximum torque of 357.5. The Chevy went next. It pulled a very good peak horsepower of 326.89, and pulled a max torque of 345.2 (Burns). According to Burns, the Suspension and handling in the F-150 is slightly superior to the Silverado, mainly due to the extreme weight loss of the Ford by changing to an aluminum alloy from steel. He wondered if the suspension and overall feel of the truck actually changed because of the trucks loss of weight. The answer was “yes” with emphasis. The F-150 with the 3.5 Liter V6 EcoBoost weighs about 460 pounds less than the Silverado with the 6.5 Liter V8. Both the Ford and the Chevrolet have nice turns, yet the Ford pulls past the Chevy in the end because it takes less effort to turn due to the weight
