When talking about American muscle cars, most people automatically think of two cars: the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang. These two vehicles have had a long standing rivalry since the 1960’s, and every year since then their manufacturers have tried to outdo one another. While the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro and the 2014 Ford Mustang are both considered to be big muscle cars with big eight cylinder engines in the front and rear wheel drive, they both differ in their looks, performance, and their technology.
At a first glance, the 2014 Camaro has a more aggressive stance than its competitor. Its body shape could be summed up as “boxy,” as it has really aggressive lines and angles all around. It sits low to the ground too as it has a height of four feet six inches. Another thing to notice is that the Camaro has really small glass windows all around. Sitting inside the vehicle feels like one is sitting inside a military tank. Obviously, this aggressive look has an effect on the Camaro’s visibility when driving it. The 2014 Camaro comes standard with a touchscreen stereo system which includes six speakers, satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port, so one can charge their cellphone while on the go. On the other hand, the 2014 base Mustang model is only available with a standard AM/FM stereo with four speakers, but does include an auxiliary input. The Camaro also comes standard with eight way power driver and passenger seats, while the Mustang’s seats are only height adjustable. Another feature that separates these two vehicles is that the Camaro comes with an Electric Speed Proportion power steering, and the Mustang is fitted with a more traditional mechanical power
