My Education Philosophy

My philosophy of education is that; schools and teachers must accentuate academic objective, hard work, respect authority, and discipline. However, schools should also promote positive relationships by teaching students about different ethnicities, cultures, and racial groups. School curriculum should also include a standard body of information that all students should know and learn before being promoted to the next grade. Nevertheless, teachers, schools, and families should work to help students learn to their best ability, giving them multiple ways of learning the material. Schools and educators should teach the whole student and realize that not ever teaching method works for all children and that there must be different styles of education and opportunities for all children, no matter what their level or ability may be. Teachers can teach their students about different cultures. It is important for educators and schools to allow kinesthetic learning, in and out of the classroom. Children learn by doing; so by incorporating field trips, internships, and mentors to students, it can only help children learn the material in ways they might not have to understand when being lectured. Teachers and students should incorporate new and old reading into the curriculum; students can bring in pieces approved by the teacher that they have read. Whether it be clipped from the newspaper or online, teachers then can transport those readings into the curriculum and teach their students how it relates to what they are currently learning. The child’s interest and development should be the number one priority of the school and teacher. However, students should be respectful and pushed to work to produce the most knowledge and learning each student can to their best
