Racism is the discrimination of different race(races) and is thought to believe one race has more abilities than others. A lot of racism still existed but it wasn't until the 90’s where it was able to lessen down , but now with certain media outburst of people making racial comments , racism has once again risen. People are finger pointing at certain races if they aren't like them or think like they , making certain comments of each other races and beliefs . In the first article by Niala Mohammed who is a journalist spoke about her experience of racism at first hand. Ms. Mohammed had an unpleasant experience when she was asked to leave a airplane because of some type of safety regulations , when a male flight attendant felt threatened by Naila and her friend over a complaint they made about being stuck on a plane waiting for about 5 hours and just being offered water ,but in reality she was asked to be removed because the are both muslim. …show more content…
I myself have also experience racism at fist hand and understand how uncomfortable and angry it can feel. I work at a juice bar and I constantly interact with people but on this certain day a woman did not want me to make her smoothie because I am Mexican , she told me I had disgusting hands and would rather have my coworker who is Caucasian do her smoothie. I felt angry and sad at the same time because I felt since we are in the modern era racism had minimize itself but I guess I am wrong.; being in that type of situation can be very awkward because you don’t know how to respond or act upon being up front with this challenge. It’s heart breaking having to experiences this type of situation because of your race and religion belief you end up feeling ashamed for something you weren't asked to be or believe in , but that others have a problem
