My literacy history has developed greatly through the years. This is my recording of reading and writing in the past, present, and future. My literature started with very simple children's stories and nursery rhymes. My parents would also tell me childhood stories of theirs, in which neither they or I can remember. Stories would be read to me at home or at my grandparents normally before bed. My parents and I also sang songs at home. At this age, I didn't start writing much, mostly learning the letters of my name, the alphabet, and pictures.

During school and at bedtime, my teachers and parents would read easy books to me. Books such as Dr, Seuss, Robert Munsch, or Brown Bear Brown Bear. I also started writing more, still practicing my name …show more content…

I could read short chapter books such as Ready Freddy, or the Magic School Bus.Our teachers would still read to us for enjoyment or class assignments, and occasionally my parents would read to me at home. My writing had also improved. In grade 1 we started out with words and small sentences, which eventually developed into long sentences, paragraphs, and poems.

In grade 4, I had taken the easy way out, and I only read the short and easy read books. As I moved up grades and my reading comprehension increased I started to read harder bigger chapter books. Such as Amulet, Percy Jackson, and Eragon. I was reading more at school and also writing way more. By grade 7 I had written book reports, stories, and short stories, also a few poems. Also by this time my reading was fully independent, my teachers would only read to us our notes or things for our class assignments.

I have read lots of books by now. I read long chapter books, such as harry potter, Allegra, and also textbooks. I can now read fully independent. The only reading I receive now is from teachers when reading notes, or giving instructions for a project or assignment. We also write a lot now, and our writing will probably become more crucial as I get older. In class now we write lots of notes, tests, book reports, stories,
