My Philosophy Of Education Essay

Education is progressively changing over time and its philosophies will always be debated. My educational philosophy is that learning is a lifelong process. Students gain a solid foundation from their educational experiences that the rest of their lives will be based upon. As individuals, we are given an equal opportunity to become successful through education. Inspiring students to learn, to be creative, to be enthusiastic about education can be challenging, with patients a teacher can help the students grow into whatever they may desire. Adapting to the students needs, whether they are struggling or excelling with the subject matter, is important.
Education is defined as the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for a mature life. I will educate my students to develop independent thinking and the importance of having a personal opinion. I will provide the tools necessary for learning and be available to answer any questions a student may have. As an educator I will attend work regularly, be on time, and prepare for the days lessons. American traditions and virtues play a major role in educating our youth. Respecting authority and the consideration of others are social qualities that every American should attain through the education system. Not only will students gain a body of knowledge and basic skill, but discipline and a practical mind set will lead them into a bright future. Students learn well through interactive experiences, working with their peers nurtures a tolerance for difference in view points.
