My professional experience as a project manager, property manager, and administrative roles, along with my education makes me an excellent candidate for the position of Manager of Contract Services at Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS). I am well versed with the business practices and administrative processes for SPS, having been an employee with the division for approximately three years.

With over 15 years of experience in project and contract management, I am well versed in contract administration and documentation control. I have a consistent track record of raising standards, evolving organizational cultures, and improving processes and procedures, while promoting a team environment, and maximizing efficiencies.

Within my previous roles, I managed operations and capital expenditures, while ensuring all elements stay within the confines of the budget. My expertise of contract negotiation and enforcement provides strong oversight in construction management. During the design and construction phase of the Saskatchewan Joint-Use School Project (SJUSP), north bundle, I had a complete understanding and was responsible in upholding the Project Agreement, valued at $350 million plus service contract, for SPS. Throughout the SJUSP I saved the Ministry of Education and SPS over $8 million in errors. Through diligent review of design drawing reviews, in person meetings, and during construction site audits these errors were identified and reported to the Ministry of Education, our consultants, and the Superintendent of Facilities, Mr. Stan Laba. …show more content…
