My values and value assumptions have an important effect on my value priorities. They can play a big role in determining what are my value priorities. In any certain situation, I use my value assumptions in determining my value priorities in terms of making a decision, making a judgement, and choosing the best choice. For example, I use the hope in everything I do in life such as in my study and my goals. I prefer the hope more than despair because I think despair will never give any benefits to the people. It does not let people seeking in their study. It makes people live without seeking toward achieving their goals. I like to do all my homework perfectly within the due dates, so this thing requires me to forget myself and the break. A lot of times, I feel that the huge amounts of homework cause me a tension. So, I need a really enough time of break. Taking a break for myself become the first important value in this case. My value priorities influenced by my feeling of tension, so they shifted. The tension causes me overwork and inability to think about the study. The reason of their shifting is because I feel that the tension of having a lot of time with short amount of time overcame on my preference of occupying my time. I was aware of that shifting at the time when it happened. The third example is preferring of deliberateness more than haste. I like to be successful person and pass my exams. When I have any exam, I feel of worry and tension about it, so I answer some questions without of thinking about them carefully. I just answer them hastily to finish the exam and get rid of tension. So, here is a shifting which sometimes impacts on my grades. This shifting happens because of feeling worry toward getting a good grade to succeed.
