There are many factors to think about when you are writing a good piece of writing. Some things are basic and seem easy, but others are complicated and need a little bit of work. Style is one of many factors. Different people vary in style, but good writing is achievable no matter what your style preference. I hope to see myself and others grow and progress in individual writing.

Writing is a way to express yourself and be creative. All of our thoughts, feelings, memories, and beliefs can be portrayed through our writing. That is why I felt it was important to enroll in this class. Throughout my academic career I have written short stories, poems, book reports, and other things assigned by my teachers. It is all based on opinions and relations to what the person is reading. One thing for me is interest. If I am not interested in the topic I will not be able to connect with the writing. Although the piece of writing may be good, I will not be fully concentrated on reading it. It is not like this for every situation though. I could be reading a paper on something I have no clue or connection to, but the word choice and the flow of the writing can get me zoned in. If your paragraphs don’t flow together, the whole paper could be misinterpreted and the reader may not understand. This goes not only for our peer’s writing, but our own.

People always ask kids my age or around my age what they want to do in the future. Even though I’m quite sure I won’t be a journalist or an English Professor, I will experience writing in my career. Whether it be basic work reports or medical reports, I want to be prepared. As for my short term future, I will be taking many college classes. I plan to attend college for at least 4 years, and within those 4 years I am certain writing will be mandatory for many of many classes. By the end of this class, I want to feel confident and proud of my
