There were over 64,000 members, advisors & guests registered for this year 's National FFA Convention. The National FFA Convention is the largest annual student national convention held in the U.S. The convention and expo was expected to bring in $36 million dollars to the Indianapolis economy. Attendees stayed in 135 hotels in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Watauga FFA members recently had the opportunity to attend The 89th National FFA convention and expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Her words and dialogue are described as “passionate” and “electric”, but why? Enumeration is used to amplify the subject of speech by listing all the aspects of the subject to enhance its importance, just like the famous speech of Martin Luther King's, “I Have A Dream,” portrayed. To proclaim the significance of her personally working with these men she claims,”... I myself will be your general, judge, and rewarder of every one of your virtues in the field,” (lines 17-18). To listen to, or even read, the listing and repetition of words all pertaining to one person or meaning only amplifies its significance in how she is physically there with her men, working by their side, rather than giving orders with no regard to them personally.
Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’s Speech Analysis Students education is very important for the future of the nation, and Betsy DeVos has a plan to change students education for the better. Betsy DeVos is the current secretary of education in Washington D.C. and with President Trump, DeVos gives an opportunity for parents to choose which school their child attends. Student’s test scores in the United States has been average with many students dropping out of school. This is an issue that President Trump and DeVos will try to resolve.
The Death of Edna Pontellier The struggles of Edna Pontellier throughout her everyday life in a society that she feels she doesn’t belong in, is developed through the writing of Kate Chopin. As her character develops, Edna’s final decision of suicide illustrates her defeat in the face of society. In, The Awakening, Kate Chopin employs poetic diction and anaphora to emphasize and illuminate Edna’s awakening and how her death positively affected her character development.

In her speech, poet, Rita Dove, delivers a speech to graduating college students on advice they should think about for their next step in life. She commentates on things like having curiosity, giving effort, being brave, and other important information one would need to take on the real world. A choice Dove makes to strengthen her speech is to bring up some of her personal experiences and conversations she’s had. A great example of this is when she brings up a talk she had with her father.
In the story, they describe her as “whispering in shadows,” which shows us that she is quiet and keeps to herself. But as we read more into the story, we can discover that her move gave her a new perspective because of her lake view. In detailing the events that led up to her change in perspective, she made note of the honeysuckle that covered the walls of the well-house, the warm sunshine that accompanied going outdoors, and the cool stream of water that she felt as she placed her hand under the spout. These details kept the reader with her in the moment as she felt something less simple, but still universal; the returning of a, “ misty consciousness as of something forgotten.” In using rich diction, she maintained a sense of intimacy with the reader which allowed her to call on personal details from her own life and theirs. Later in the passage, she described how, once the reality of language was opened to her, and she returned to the house, “every object which I touched seemed to quiver with life.” She had gone through a complete shift of perspective, one that, to her, was felt entirely through senses other than sight or sound.

In so many ways she expressed her situation and emotions. When she first hears about her husband she is shocked. Shocked because she is feels liberated from her marriage. She goes to her room and gazes out her bedroom window. She was thinking, imagining her new life.

Everything from how her interactions with her family to her perception of her environment and how it evolves throughout the story allow the reader to almost feel what the narrator is feeling as the moves through the story. In the beginning, the only reason the reader knows there may be something wrong with the narrator is because she comes right out and says she may be ill, even though her husband didn’t believe she was (216). As the story moves on, it becomes clear that her illness is not one of a physical nature, but of an emotional or mental one. By telling the story in the narrator’s point of view, the reader can really dive into her mind and almost feel what she’s feeling.
She asks questions the hurricane about why does it visit England and reminds her her home. The narrator is very confused about all these feelings inside of her that the hurricane has released.
