From a person’s birth to their death, they have been nurtured throughout their lifetime. Being nurtured can be best described as growth and development. This effect can happen to people by how they grow up, for example, it could be the environment they were in or the way they were raised. People behave as they do and become who they are based on how they were raised and what type of environment they have been in. The way people are raised has a huge impact on their future and what decisions they will go on to make. In the book Lord of the Flies, Roger is a great example of someone who has been raised to think a certain way. If there was no civilization, then Roger may have done something bad. This moment foreshadows what's about to happen later in the book, without a form of civilization.
