Introduction
Perhaps, the most complex issue that seems to puzzle philosophers, psychologists and educators for years has been the debate about nature versus nurture. There seems to be a huge divide between the two philosophies as clearly nature refers to the concept of personal characteristics being related biologically and nurture being classed as the influence of the surrounding environment on the persons characteristics. Many questions come to light when considering these factors in psychology.

In the UK alone, there are three people a day dying from Asthma. Asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disorder. It is a disorder characterised by chronic variable airway inflammation and airflow obstruction. During an acute exacerbation of asthma, airway inflammation and obstruction worsen. There are various signs and symptoms of asthma exacerbation including; altered conscious level, exhaustion, arrhythmia (irregular HR), Cyanosis, silent chest, poor respiration effort, inability to complete sentences in one breath and many others. A child may experience many common symptoms relating to Asthma. One of these being wheezing which is a whistling sound that occurs when a child breaths through narrowed airways. Wheezing is a familiar and regular symptom of Asthma. However, children with Asthma might not wheeze and children who wheeze might not have Asthma. Therefore, it is imperative that Asthma is diagnosed by a professional in this field, like a doctor. A persistent dry, cough might also occur. A cough that tends to happen at night or in the course of exercise. Shortness of breath may be elicited by exercise also. Another symptom of Asthma is Chest tightness.
