In the short years leading to World War one, the country was deeply in debt which in turn was devastating to the Canadian economy. There was a wide spread drought causing great hardship onto Canadian wheat production and farmers, with such low production the expanding railway system of the time could no longer find it feasible to run much of Canada’s large railway network, causing the job loss of 50,000 workers in 1914 alone. When Canada was forced to contribute to the war in the coming months of 1914 the Canadian government had crushing public debt, resulting not only in mass munitions and equipment shortages for the soldiers being sent overseas but, contract cancellations, severe cutbacks, and mass layoffs. David Kennedy’s Over Here: The First World War and American Society gives the reader an in depth description of American history during Americas involvement in World War I. The book covers from President Wilson’s war message to Congress on April 2, 1917 to the Armistice on November 11, 1918 pointing out major dilemmas within the country, whether they are political, social, or cultural. Kennedy starts the book out with a prologue that sets the scene. After the prologue, Kennedy jumps into explaining the war and the thoughts of the American people about the war that was carried into the battlefield.
World War 2 impacted the united states economy greatly by giving many people jobs in factories producing items for the war effort. Men from 18-36 were given jobs as soldiers fighting in europe or the pacific. The women and minorities had to work in the factories making the items for the soldiers to use. World War 2 brought america out of the depression and gave the average citizen more income because the women of a family were now working as well as the men . During World War 1, the demand of food was high. The US provided for not only their own soldiers, but also those of other nations, and even the civilians in the rampaged neighborhoods. The farmers had confidence and used the income from the government to buy more land and machinery on credit. Banks supported the farmers while the industry boomed. When the war came to an end, the demand dropped but the supply rose.
The end of WWI was a period known as the Roaring Twenties. Most were hoping for a period or happiness and delight. The US started to turn over from a time of war to a time of peace and celebration. Everyone spent money on improving their everyday lifestyle.

To start off, let’s talk about The Boom in Americas Economy. The United States traded with the Allies before the United States joined the war and during the war which gave the U.S. more jobs,money, and more joy. Even though the United States join the war toward the end, it made an important move for the Triple Entente. Woodrow Wilson attempted to stay neutral during the "war to end all wars", tensions with Germany and the United States grew and made it impossible for them to not partake part of the war. The United States wanted to stay neutral during World War I. America had the right to trade with both nations, Britain and Germany; America decided not to trade with Germany, because they would had to defy British blockade.

This is necessary, in order for us to comprehend and discuss the potential benefits and problems of using smartphones and tablets on children’s early childhood learning. Different approaches have been adopted for the early childhood education, each with its own philosophy. Very often, early childhood educators have to decide for themselves and the children which philosophy they subscribe to. We could only attempt to arrive at some common grounds on early childhood education for this study.
