Have you ever been asked who your hero is? I don’t mean the ones you see on cartoons, I’m talking about real people. Well mine is Neil DeGrasse Tyson. You’ll probably won’t recognize his name but I think you’ll like him just as much as I do. I’m pretty sure the first time is seen him was on TV a few years back. It was this bran new show called “Cosmos a Space Time Odyssey”. Let me tell you I had been really excited about watching it because I’ve always felt a fascination with outer space and stuff like that. I feel like it made a big impact on my life because right now that’s one of the things that makes me strive to succeed. He’s also known for being the first major black astrophysicist. Since I wanted to know more about him I researched him up on the internet. Well every show he comes on and gets paid for he later donates it to charities such as the animal shelter. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that’s a virtue. I like that he’s not afraid to put his thoughts out there even when he knows there are going to be a lot of critics. This has happened quite a few times and to be honest, he really doesn’t care. One of my favorite quotes by him goes like this, “there is no shame in being in not knowing, the problem arises when irrational thought and attendant behavior fill the vacuum left by ignorance”. Another one is, “curious that we spend more time congratulating people who have succeed than encouraging those who haven’t”.
