Analytics and big data are becoming increasingly more important in the sports industry in recent years, providing teams and leagues with valuable insights and enabling them to make data-driven decisions. There are three primary categories in which analytics and big data have impacted the sports ecosystem: players, teams, and leagues, the fan experience, and sports media. With access to a wide range of data points, including player movements and biometric information, coaches can now better optimize player performance, identify strengths and weaknesses, and create more effective game strategies.
