One of the nicest people someone could meet lived in one of the most oppressive countries. In venezuela the government is communist and a resident can never relax. They constantly have to watch what they say in fear of being arrested. “There is no such thing as going to a cafe to eat and just talk.” This girl at the time lives with her family. They are all Italian and part of their culture is to live together, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, everyone lives together. That doesn’t last long past her years in high school. The girl now wants to escape the government and continue her life somewhere else. The family takes a hard hit, the close family will start to be seperated. She started to push through this hard time in which she was away from her family and couldn’t get any help. She realized “You just keep on going” to survive. That “If you let it all get to you, you just crawl into a corner and stay there,” if that happened there is no chance for improving. She new that “If you take it like, ‘okay here's another challenge i'm going to overcome it’ and you take it step by step then you move forward” “Otherwise you won’t survive.” She took this new knowledge and started to gain momentum. She Started learn the english language then everything became better. She could ask for help and she started to move through school faster and she understood what was being taught. She was able to get a job she was able to graduate and get a better job. She just kept on going. After building herself on the east coast of the U.S. she started to want something different. The east coast wasn’t appealing to her anymore. She decided to move to the west coast, California. With her new language skills and persistence she was able to find a job, a home and she found someone else. She found a man also from Italy who she particularly liked. Years later she has a well paying job, a wonderful husband, two kids and a great
