Marilyn Monroe: Her life story Norma Jeane Mortenson ( Marilyn Monroe real name) was born June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California in Los Angeles County Hospital. Birthed by her mother Glady Pearl Baker, norma never knew her father and never did when she grew up to be famous but, later in her life she once thought her father was Clark Gable, a famous actor and soon later found out he wasnt. Norma also had an half sister, Berniece Baker Miracle, but was not close with her but she had met her half a dozen times and a brother named Hermitt Jack but when young berniece and hermitt were taken by Glady’s ex husband. Glady was so sick that she tried to smothered when norma was 2 years old, (marilyn said claiming that was her only memory of her mother) because of gladys illness when norma was 9 years old she was taken in by gladys friend, Grace Mckee but grace was not able to take care of norma forever so grace took her to Los Angeles Orphanage.
