Tulsa Daily World: Friday, January 18th – Announcement from Chicago that Red Faber has signed a contract to pitch for the White Sox this season, indicates that Commy’s crew will be the favorites in the race for the American League flag, though in the Boston Red Sox, they will receive the sternest opposition. There is only one cloud to mar the joy of the west side rooters. Red is within the draft age, unmarried and has no dependents, though it is said he contributes to the support of relatives. Maybe if the draft officials will read the story of the world’s series in which Faber stole third base with Buck Weaver on the sack, they will exempt him. Leonard Peltier’s Innocence Leonard Peltier was a Native American man arrested for supposedly killing two FBI agents on Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota. There have been many debates about the integrity of the court cases and the lawfulness of Peltier’s arrest. Many FBI supporters would claim that there were eyewitness accounts and various other pieces of material evidence that show that Peltier was the culprit. However, Peltier supporters would rebut the evidence, saying that the eyewitness accounts aren’t legitimate and the court decision was politically influenced. I will consider both sides of the argument, and show that Peltier’s innocence is evident because the evidence provided against Peltier was falsified and the FBI used disingenuous methods in charging Peltier for murder.

The graph in document 1, a food/population report by the UN, shows a direct relationship between a growing population and the amount of food supply. This rapid increase is made possible by Norman Borlaug's genetically modified crops that made more food on less land and were able to fight off plant diseases. Document 2, a speech given by a president Truman to the struggling citizens, says that many people in a food crisis are in misery and would do anything to escape it. This is fuel for the Green Revolution and its colossal effects on human’s food supply. Document 7 contradicts this thesis because it states that the people who experienced its effects thought it was a contamination to their culture and natural way of life.
