If I were in Philip Malloy’s situation, I would react the same way. In English, Philip was humming the National Anthem. His teacher Miss. Nawrin sent him to Mr. Palleni, the assistant principal for disturbing the class. When Mr. Palleni was talking to Philip on chapter 12 page 74 Phillip Malloy said “ She's wrong. That's all. Shes wrong. No way i'm apologizing. “ I would've said the same exact thing. In my opinion Philip was right and didn't need to apologize. On pages 26-30 When Coach Jamison was talking to Philip about Track & Field I could relate to Philip, because In the past I have had to quit different things because my grades weren't good. On pages 45-47 Philip and his friend Todd were talking about Track & Field. Philip didn't want to tell Todd about him not being able to do track & field so he told a lie instead. In the book Nothing But The Truth there are many parts in the story that people can relate to. For instance, on page 35 phillip told his father that he will not be trying out for the Track & Field. Philip’s father was confused and upset because not too long ago Philip really wanted to try out. I feel that most people would've had the same reaction Philip’s father had. On page 205 Philip’s mother and father were talking about how Philip didn't want to go to school. His parents were understanding, but also angry. I feel that majority of people would understand why they acted that way. After all they went through to have Philip “Win” the battle with Miss. Narwin. At the end of the story Philip finally transferred schools. On page 212 his new teacher introduced him to the class, and asked if he would like to lead the National Anthem. Philp then started to cry, and said “I don't know the words.”. After everything Philip has been through I understand why he would be upset and
