Peter Skene Ogden was a Canadian fur trapper and trader. When he was young he explored the Great Basin, Oregon, Northern California, and the area around the Snake River. He had a reputation as a rough and tough trapper and trader. He came to Utah in 1825. There is a river that is named after him.
George W. Nye Trevor J. pierce George Nye was a loving husband and hard worker, he also came back from a civil war that tour the nation apart looking like a skeloten. He was a mechanic and was a prisoner of war. He was sick for 6 months. During this time he watched his brothers die, while he somehow survived, day after day, month after month, and yet he survived. When he got home he could not maintain his work because he was to weak.
There were many appalling prison camps during the Civil War, but the most infamous was Andersonville. A shocking 13,000 people died in this camp(Bartels). Andersonville was run from February of 1864 until April of 1865. When the North found out about what happened at Andersonville, people were outraged. They wanted justice, and so the man running the camp, Henry Wirz, was tried and hanged for war crimes(Kohn).
Valley Forge is a winter camp set up by george washington and his troops. The camp was horrible! They were low on supplies, and not prepared. People died of illness and disease. It was a fight against disease, nature, and themselves.
Sex Offender Pleads Guilty to 1975 Murder of Maryland Sister The following research paper is about Lloyd Lee Welch Jr who recently pleads guilty to two first degree felony murders in the abduction and murder of two Maryland sisters from a strip mall forty years ago. Welch is now serving a long prison sentence for sexually molesting a 10 year old girl in Delaware. However, he denies he killed or rape the Maryland sisters. It was spring of 1975 in Kensington, Maryland, a time of feeling safe, and parents didn't think twice about wondering where their kids were and if they were safe.

Chester Nez Many people have used secret codes during war, but some codes, code talkers, and soldiers have been extremely creative. By being one of the original 29 code talkers during World War II and helping make the first unbreakable code, Chester Nez created a long lasting impact on the United States and allied nations by leading them to victory. Nez was one of the 29 original Navajo code talkers for the United States during World War II and helped create the first secret code that enemies couldn’t depict. He and the other code talkers spoke in Navajo during the war to communicate without the enemies understanding it (Capstone, N.D.).
Tadeusz Gebethner was not only a great person on the soccer field, but he was an even better person off the field and should be recognized for that. The Gebethner family was a well known family in Poland due to their heavy involvement in the soccer team Polonia. On the field, Tadeusz was the first president of the soccer team as well as the captain of the team. With those very large roles on a newly founded soccer team, Tadeusz integrated minorities into Polonia, even Jews. When Poland was attacked by the Germans September 1, 1939, Tadeusz joined the polish army.
Ronald P. Bucca A hero is a person who puts themselves in danger for others. Heroic acts can range from small gestures or actions to saving countless lives. Heros are known for their outstanding achievements and bravery.
This new American State will be called Monkaushka derived from the Native American term: trembling earth or earthquake. The people that live in this state are incredibly friendly people who have a tendency to be outspoken with their beliefs and warm in their hearts. They are homely folk who tend not to leave their close knit areas for too long. There is an folk tale that crawls around the towns that no one has ever left this state; only those who weren’t born here can come and go. You would think that is ridiculous, but the landscape that this state resides on is unlike any other state and can verify the legend for many people.
On the great day of August 7, 1742 one of our great generals was born. His name was Nathanael Greene. He lived for Forty Four years (1742-1786). He was one of the most respected generals of the Revolutionary War. When he was a child his education was limited, all though he received a good teaching with the available books, such as the Bible.
