As of 2013, the number of people with MS was estimated to be over 2.3 million worldwide. ( atlas 2013) Most of the non-traumatic disabilities in young adults are caused by MS [1]. It is considered that an interaction of genetic factors, environmental predisposition, and abnormal immune responses can be the chief causes of MS, But the exact etiology of MS is still in question [2]. MS has been greatly studied within the recent years, but a great number of clinical challenges still remain in regard to diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.[6]
The traditional method sometimes groups students into the special education category when this is not the appropriate place for them. Response to Intervention, or also known as RtI, was created to help detect the presence of a learning disability. The intervention program is a scientific research-based, base on a student’s response. RtI can only help the regular education students that has academic problems or behavior problem. For academic problem there are three tiers to RtI, and of these tiers tier II and tier III each has a four week time period for evaluation. In the first tier the teacher will let the student continue in wholes group instruction, while documenting the action of that student.
Yes, I believe by arriving early for her shift is an excellent opportunity. It gives Brandi plenty of time to prepare for the day, get report and make rounds before relieving the night nurse of his/her duties. This gives her time to look at her assignment and visit her patients as well. If there are any discrepancies, this is the time for Brandi to address those before accepting responsibility from the night nurse. Every nurse has the accountability to challenge any act that appears unsafe and to stop actions that are not in the patient’s best interest (Yoder-Wise, 2015).

It is important for the healthcare team to be aware of the patient’s do-not-resuscitate status when caring for patients in all settings. Effective communication among staff is essential when transferring care or “handing off” a patient from one provider to another. According the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (2014), “automatically suspending a [DNR] … order during surgery undermines a patient’s right to self-determination” (para. 1). Patients should be provided with informed consent for anesthesia and surgery in relation to the DNR prior to initiating any procedures (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, 2014, para. 2).
A Nurse Practitioner (NP) can increase the revenue in different ways. An Np can see three or more patients per hour on average (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, 2017). A newly graduated NP without experience may see 10 patients per day for the first six months. After six months, when they become more comfortable and efficient, they may be able to see 15 patients. Eventually, that number can increase up to 24 patients per day (Buppert, 2015).
The one solution that most school has pushed for is a strong response to instruction (RTI) framework used for reading and math. It is a three tier approach that is designed to encourage academic success, utilizing problem solving strategies that are research based. Reflecting on the past seven weeks I have acquired countless knowledge, which I will use to further strengthen my profession as an Advanced Practice Nurse. The course allowed me to think beyond my current practice knowledge and acquired innovative ways to evaluate the situation at hand. The learning objective in program outcome four helps set standards that I will use to guide my clinical practice to meet various healthcare needs. Using the case studies has helped to further enhance my knowledge on disease physiological state, using differential diagnosis, disease manifestations, and clinical presentation. It has also taught me the skills on how to differentiate between similar diagnoses to properly identify the problem and treat the patients.
I agree with you Walter. Nursing is a teamwork. In an acute hospital setting, an RN is assigned a set of patient to deliver care that means RN has full responsibility about these patients. In this case, RN who is the primary care nurse can complete her task by herself or delegate some of the task to the nursing assistant according to their scope of practice. The abilities to delegate, and supervise other healthcare workers is not an easy job.
510). Role development can be seen throughout my nursing school profession, in my role as a student in the class room setting, in our clinical experience and in the lab. My role will continue to change as I graduate and start a new job in the medical field, not as a nursing student but as a registered nurse. As time progresses and I became more comfortable in my role as a student, the expectations that are set in front of me grew. The expectations that the clinical instructor has for each student is presented to us
Schools need to provide students with resources such as an RA or SNA (Special Needs Assistant) to students or teachers that want or need one. They also need to provide specific framework for students such as IEPs etc., allow pre-entry contact for pupils and parents, and create a strong relationship with parents based on constant communication. If schools can effectively provide these resources for students with special needs, the transition from Primary to Post-Primary education can run smoothly and create great educational experiences for these
