First, there are several similarities and differences in former President Barack Obamas budget message. First, his budget in 2015 focused on various factors such as, the working families, middle class families, Americas youngest learners, college students, the workforce, returning hero’s (military personal), businesses owners, security threats, infectious disease, modernizing alliances, opening new markets, climate change, the management agenda, immigration reform, and affordable health insurance. More of our people are insured than ever before. When determining what to include in the budget plan Obama had to take into consideration what kind of economy we want to be for the future. The economic forecast he proposed is will we commit ourselves to an economy that generates rising incomes and chances for everyone who makes the effort. Three major budget choices that Obama made in 2015 are, infectious disease, immigration reform, and climate change. First, it is important to recognize the economic difference between our current economic state and 2013 and 2015. Our current economic state is stable and improving. The U.S. has a higher employment rate now, than during the Obama administration. In the budget message, Trump describes that our economy has a lack of activity, growth, or development, and he will strive to create faster economic growth based on eight policies and reforms. Some of the most important budget choices are first, health care. Trump plans to reform the health care plan that Obama implemented in his previous budgets. Trump discussed that he planned to create a more competitive reform. Next, he plans to reform immigration, focus on education reform, and American Energy Development. In contrast from Obamas budget message, Trump does not discuss climate change but rather describes his goal of development of reducing the price of electricity and transportation fuels. Furthermore, as Trump is a new president he must strategize to appeal to the public in hopes of re-election.
