It represents the most significant improvement to the U.S. healthcare system since 1965 with the addition of Medicare and Medicaid. Also known and commonly referred to as Obamacare, it was enacted to increase the affordability and quality of health insurance, diminish the rate of the uninsured by expanding public and private insurance coverage while reducing the cost of healthcare for individuals and the government. This law will require Hospitals and doctors to reconstruct financial practices along side with technologically and clinically to advance better outcomes, reduce cost and improve methods of accessibility.

President Donald Trump built his presidential campaign on promise to make America great again. However, with his presidency going into his first year in office, I still have to see those promises come into fruition. Instead, he is rescinding or changing the policies that former President Obama created during his tenure in the White House. Trump, in my opinion is very obsessed with Obama. This dislike of Obama started when the current president questioned the legitimacy of Obama’s constitutional right to run for presidency.
There are parts in Donald Trump’s speech that the ideas of the Declaration of Independence show and come out. In the beginning of the speech it shows when he says, “We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people” (Trump, pg 1). Mainly at the end when he says about restoring the promise back to our people. The Declaration was originally written as a promise to the American people. Trump is saying how the promise that we the people were given is broken and how he wants to fix it.
In the same fashion, the Affordable Care Act demonstrates various elements that improve employment, families health, and the economic progression. Therefore, the Affordable Care Act is essential for lowering the overall healthcare costs by providing insurance for millions of Americans (Amadeo). With that said, the more people are covered the more the nation is filled with healthy citizens. Not to mention, this plan allows citizens to receive necessary treatment before worrying about the cost because the policy controls cost by regulating premiums, lowering overhead costs. There have been many controversies toward the policy; one being that it has a negative impact toward employment.

Trumps purpose is to manipulate the American people into believing his bullcrap excuse of being a president. He adopts a confident tone in order to persuade his followers while also using repetition, patriotism, and anger. The Affordable Health Care Act, also known as “Obamacare”, is basically just Obama trying to make sure that the whole nation has insurance and if they do not have it by January 1, 2014, they will be penalized with a fine. To make insurance more affordable, many Americans are able to qualify for a subsidy that lowers the cost depending on age and income. Also, “Obamacare” made it impossible for insurers’ to discriminate, or charge higher rates, for anyone who has pre-existing conditions or for a certain gender. Medicare will also be easier to obtain due to requirement of insurance. This law was passed in the U.S. on March 23, 2010 by Congress and President Barack Obama.
Henceforth the different states will determine whether to accept or decline the federal organisation funds for extensions and advance the states healthcare programs. In most cases the obamacare will negatively affect the states because the costs of healthcare will be more expensive and the rising of private insurance. This will be expensive for the people living in those states to afford the private insurance especially for those relying on employers for insurance.
A recent article, Trump, Republicans set timeframe for introducing Obamacare replacement posted on reuters.com states previews to some key aspects of the replacement. One statement said by Republicans, “intend to repeal the penalties for Obamacare 's mandate requiring individuals to get coverage and employers to provide it, the policy brief said.” I believe that this will be a very bad decision. If you are going to remove the penalties, then less employers will offer health care to their employees. This will increase the cost for individuals to get health care insurance on their own and will cause many to not get health care insurance due to the cost.
