Introduction The subject of Case Study One is presumed to be diagnosed with an abnormal disorder. Abnormality is a universal term but surprisingly does not still have a universal agreement on what it means as there is no, one behavior which makes a person abnormal. However abnormality can be defined as follows. If certain factors related to the mind and behavior of a person, do not fit in the generalization, or if some factors are deviating from the normal it is said to be abnormal. Once one is identified as an abnormal person, the next question is, which particular disorder is the person undergoing? The subject of this case study is a married lady named Karen Rusa, who is a 30 year old. She is a house wife and a mother of four children, two sons and two daughters. The symptoms she stated are correlated with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and followed by anxiety. Justification to show that she is a person with OCD is explained below. What is OCD? Many individuals have good or fair insight. Some have poor insight. With good insight, the individual recognizes that obsessive-compulsive disorder beliefs are definitely or probably not true. With fair that insight, the individual recognizes that obsessive-compulsive disorder beliefs may or may not be true. With poor insight: The individual thinks obsessive-compulsive disorder beliefs are probably true. With absent insight/delusional beliefs: The individual is completely convinced that obsessive-compulsive disorder beliefs are true. The subject in the given case study, Mrs. Karen is with absent insight, she is completely convinced that if even a minor accident happens it is because of her inability to observe the numerical rules. She cannot realize that minor accidents are very likely to happen in a family with four children.
