In the book “ of mice of men”, by John Steinbeck. 2 migrant workers named, george and lennie have traveled to a california farm to find work.they often move from town to town and job to job hoping to someday have a place to call home. george and lennie have a very close friendship, even though lennie is the bigger man george still looks out for lennie, lennie is very dependent on george mostly because he suffers mild mental disability.Lennie always seems to find trouble and they have to leave to find more work. In a town named Weed where both George and Lennie worked before going to the ranch in california, Lennie was accused of harassing a girl by simply touching her dress and not stopping. They had to leave the town and find work somewhere else.George could easily find work by himself and be fine without Lennie,but instead george stays faithful to lennie and stays by his side. …show more content…

George feels important because he has someone who truly relies on him.Lennie depends on george to take care of him, keep him out of trouble. Lennie is dependent on George.without George, Lennie would develop more difficult problems that he couldn’t solve or escape on his own, and he would eventually be in a situation that would end
