Should a trans women be thought of anything different than an actual women? What makes them have a different aspect on life that they shouldn’t be able to attend a women’s college just cause they aren’t biologically a women? They have the same looks and thoughts as a women, these people are wishing they were a women,but for them to get into an all women’s college it’s like they have to have all these rules and guidelines and make sure all their paperwork is in line.In the article “Trans Women at Smith: The Complexities of Checking ‘Female’” written by Sarah Fraas, it talks of how hard it is for a women to be able to get into Smith college, an all women’s college.

It’s hard for a trans women to get all these things because most the time not everyone around them is on board with an individual having these life decisions. Smith College doesn't want to give up the idea of it being anything other than a women's college ,but what they don’t understand is just cause a person classifies as trans for all we know might make them no less of a women than the person next to them except their gender marker. They want to be classified as something other than male cause they feel themselves when they are thought of as a women instead of male, who are we to take that right away from them? These individuals aren’t asking that smith College change all their rules and guidelines ,but more asking if they would be willing to consider having a different strategy for ruling out who actually belongs at an all women's college. These women aren’t asking that Smith professors and faculty drop all the things they believe in and have went about for the time being, but furthermore, they want them to see a different way of approaching the idea of a trans women going to an all women's college. Not everything we are raised to believe has to be right after time. There is always room for change in this world. We just need to within ourselves detect out the difference between good and bad change. Also how to change some things without changing everything we have ever followed. At the end of the day these individuals just want to be treated in a way that makes them feel whole like they can fully be themselves in this world and not have to hide what makes them happy, so women will you stand with them in this change?
