As students at the University of Iowa, we have recognized there is a lack of affordable seafood near campus. High-end restaurants such as Atlas and Formosa have thrived on community demands, but fail to offer their services at a price all students can afford. Furthermore, we have watched local food trucks grow in popularity and profitability; however, none of these trucks offer a seafood menu. As business students, we have decided to put our skills to the test by creating Oh My Cod, a food truck dedicated to providing the Iowa City community with affordable seafood on wheels.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the Iowa City community with a mobile source of tasty, fast, and affordable seafood, while financially supporting our University of Iowa student employees. Founded by students, Oh My Cod strives to meet the demands of students’ busy schedules and diverse tastes. By developing this mission statement, we identify our main customers as University of Iowa students, and make an informal contract with them by promising good tasting, fast, and cheap meal options.
