Organizational behavior is the way of acting of individuals in the group. It is the study which is trying to explain how people will react and cooperate in the organization, and also it describes whole system of organization as well as the purpose of the same. The best book I could find that interest me and is closely related to this subject is ˝On Becoming a Leader˝. Author is Warren Bennis who was just a professor, and not a leader of any kind. This book is like cheat sheet that have guidelines for faster learning and developing yourself into future leader. This is second edition of the book that is written by W. That is the first step because he wants to teach his readers that this is turbulent and volatile world in which we are focused only on short term goals, and it cannot be helpful anyhow. Bennis highlights importance of understanding a fact that leaders are not born with that talent like singers or dancers, but they are usually self-made because of circumstances, or by accident. Leaders must be aware that they are also part of organization and they need to be able to work with others, and learn from them. Sympathy and truthful are two major components. However, in this stage of reading, according to all characteristics he wrote, I thought that leaders and managers are the same. Furthermore, Bennis explained the major differences like leaders are those who are original and who creates innovations. They are also those who are focused on people, while managers are focused only on system and structure. That now leads to everything we learned by now. Managers are only those who follow given commandments and create and change the system like is supposed to do from their supervisors. Leaders don´t lead on one place, they must be aware their words and acts can hurt a lot of people, especially in organization where they operate. Lot of people that are different either because of culture, race, gender or anything can have far better results than those who are similar. All is in the way of thinking. However, even that colleagues in organization should be good and create some kind of friendship, Bennis warns that it is important to know the difference between friends and mentors, because it could by hurtful for organization. After learning all of those above, leaders will be able to trust their inner voice. Because they will have enough knowledge and experience to believe own feelings even with a small amount of information they get. Developing is a long process and the best thing to hurry it up is emergence. In those situations people can faster make decisions which will bring some difference either in the way of thinking, lives or business (which is case for leaders). That´s how experience comes. In the book there is whole chapter dedicated to unpredictable situations (Warren calls it ˝chaos˝). He is trying to explain diversity of situations in business
