Conscious stream of thought is the style the book is written in, and allows a more in depth look into the Jarret’s lives. Relationships start and end throughout the book, and some just never change. In this analysis, the similarities of Beth and Conrad will be looked upon, as well as the little progression they’ve had in the novel and the progression they will never have.

All Summer in a Day reveals that all students must have equal power in order for everyone’s happiness. When a group of individuals has more power than another individual, that individual no longer has a choice but to accept whatever happens. “He gave her a shove. But she did not move; rather she let herself be moved only by him and nothing else” (Bradbury 2).

In the book Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, the main character, Marcus, and his friends are held illegally in a prison on an island because they are accused of being a part of a terrorist attack on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco, California. Marcus being held against his will the first time at Treasure Island , the kids illegal rock concert, and people's personal privacy being invaded are catalysts to Marcus wanting to make a change in the authority of the Department of Homeland Security.
Throughout the story of “The Dead” the importance of home and family is brought out. In the book we begin by understanding the setting of a Christmas party that is hosted by our protagonist Gabriel’s Aunts which are Kate and Julia Morkin. There he speaks with a lady known as Miss Ivors, someone who you could say who pushed his buttons. While they talk she calls him a “West Briton” because he has been writing for a conservative newspaper The Daily Express. She mentioned how she was ashamed of him and started “‘to write for a rag like that.
In the poem, “A Hymn to Childhood,” Li-Young Lee talks about having fragmented individuality from childhood due to war. He is lost in perception of a traumatic childhood caused by war and a normal naïve childhood. Lee depicts the two diverged childhoods from his memory through the use of antithesis to emphasize the world perceived by a self fragmented individual. Throughout the poem, he consistently presents two opposing ideas to show what it feels like to grow up with emotional trauma.
SLO I: I have learned that experience with literacy will promote children in leaning literacy. Therefore, I will provide and display books around the classroom, so children can reach anytime. SLO II: I also provide anti-bias books for diverse children in my classroom to respect for who they are and where they come from. SLO III. I will provide books with different cultural and languages, so children will have a sense of inclusion in their classroom.
