Oprah was born on a farm in Kosciusko, Mississippi to a teenage mother who wasn't married. Her name is Vernita Lee a housemaid born 1935 she was having trouble in life being a teenage mother without a dad helping take care of Oprah while she was at work. Her father, Vernon Winfrey born 1934 was in unarmed forces when Oprah was born he left Oprah's mom for someone else later, he did good in life. Her mother moved north in search of a job Oprah went to live with her grandmother for the first six years of her life in rural poverty that struck her love in media and her fear of living in poverty this is why she tried harder to get to where she is now and tried to help others who are living like she was.
