Oprah Winfrey and Walt Disney came from two completely different worlds that occurred in different centuries. Although, they may seem like they have absolutely nothing in common, they are amongst the many successful people who have been fired from a job at least once. Both Walt Disney and Oprah Winfrey were kicked out of their jobs for not meeting criteria. Walt Disney was told he wasn’t creative enough ,while Oprah Winfrey was said to be too emotionally attached to the stories she talked about on her first talk show. Oprah had the emotional burden of being raped by her grandfather as well as her father being abusive towards her. On top of those emotional burdens she herself was a burden to her mother that she was dropped off at her grandmother's in order to live the rest of her life. Walt Disney had a caring environment compared to Oprah even though he did have some conflicts with his brother which ended their partnership. Walt Disney was able to start his career as a producer at the age of 22 even though his company went bankrupt. A few years later he was able to bring the Disney film productions into a spark and open up Disneyland. Oprah on the other hand took a couple of more years than Walt Disney for she was more focused on completing school as well as gaining the specific skills she needed for her future career. Oprah was more of an obedient child unlike Walt Disney who enlisted in the army without his parents legal consent. Oprah was always doing what her adults wanted her to do such as learning 5 new vocabulary words before being fed. Disney, on the other hand was more of a rebel. He enlisted into the army as an American Ambulance Corp member since they needed help and that is where he began to become well known in some of his works. He was known for being Artistic.
