Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Gail Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, USA on the 29th of January 1954 to parents Vernita Lee and Vernon Winfrey. Her parents separated not long after she was born and her father moved to Nashville, Tennessee and her mother moved to Milwaukee leaving Oprah with her grandmother Hatti Mae Lee. Where they both lived in terrible conditions. There was no running water or electricity.
As Oprah became older and successful in her small primary school she was sent to live with her mother at the age of 6. At the time her mother was working as a maid so her mother was barely ever home and Oprah never got the attention she needed and she started to play up, misbehaving and talking back to her mother. When Oprah spent time with her father she started to straighten back into line as her knew she father would not let her behave in that matter. As Oprah had gotten older and found out her mother was pregnant and was requested to go live with her mother again. Now 9 and living with her mother for barely year already after her mother having the baby and going back to work as a maid. Oprah was left at home with her 7-year-old half sister and her 8-month old half-brother and her 19 yr old cousin that baby sat them. Her cousin took advantage of Oprah and raped her. Oprah is a very vulnerable 9-year-old young girl and was sexually abused by her cousin multiple times and also by a family friend. The abuse didn’t stop there her mother’s boyfriend and her uncle all took advantage of her whilst living with her mother.
