Concert Report After carefully reviewing all of the musical events that the Department of Music at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi had to offer, I had decided to attend the University Symphony Orchestra’s concert, which had that featured Dr. Carrie Pierce as a guest artist, that was held in the Performing Arts Center on March 1st, 2016 at 7:30 pm. I wanted to go to this specific concert for the fact that I had never been to an orchestra concert as well as my interest was sparked as to what the performers were going to play that evening. This piece was very fast in tempo and was filled with a reoccurring motif that started off staccato and turned legato and would then turn staccato again, and the contour of this piece, in my opinion, was very wavelike because of the musicals runs that went up and down the scale. The next piece that played, “Symphony No. 5 in C minor Op. 67 Finale. Allegro” also by Beethoven, reminded me a person of royalty entering their palace or somewhere similar. Like
