Origins of Lucifer
This section will explain the origins of Lucifer, his proper name, which is actually ‘Heylel’ but we will discuss more about his name shortly, and finally what this being is.
It is a widely accepted theological stance that whilst in heaven Lucifer was the “chief worship leader”. However, is this stance truly correct and if so how does this affect the act of mankind’s worship to God? It is recorded in the Bible that the two Major Prophets, Ezekiel and Isaiah, both describe a heavenly conversation concerning Lucifer. A professional cutter knows how many cuts to make and where to make them to capture the light in order to reflect the light and create the sparkle. Hence even though Heylel was the “light bearer”, without God who is the “light of the world” (2 Sam 22:29; John 8:12), the light cannot be emitted.

Thus the universal word ‘Hallelujah’ means ‘Praise Yah’ or more specifically ‘praise Yahweh’. So the name Heylel deriving from ‘hallelujah’ is another reason why theologians believe he was created to lead praise unto Yahweh in the heavenly realm.
Ezekiel states that God had placed Heylel on His “holy mountain” and that Heylel was able to “walk up and down in the midst of the stones of fire” (Ezek 28:14). Adam Clarke, Bible Commentator, deduces that this statement means that Heylel’s path was paved with precious stones that shone and sparkled like fire. God had created Heylel perfect, however problems arose only when “iniquity was found in him” (Ezek 28:15); this became Heylel’s
