Orson Scott Card is an American novelist, critic, public speaker, essayist, and columnist. He writes in several different genres, but he is best known for his work in science fiction. Card’s Childhood was fairly normal. While growing up, he read most of the time, and he read a lot of unusual books, and even studied the Mormon religion. In his Junior high-school, Card was introduced to the Great Books. The enduring themes of the books would resonate with his later professional life.
