Osmosis Jones is an animated and live-action movie. It begins with a man named Frank who is becoming ill due to his unhealthy habits. Inside his body, Osmosis Jones, a white blood cell working for the immune system finds a virus named Thrax. Frank takes a pill to help his sickness named Drix. Drix and Osmosis Jones fight together to save Frank's life. This movie has been rated PG, which I agree with. The movie has a simple plot, easy to understand for all ages. Osmosis Jones is a movie targeted at children and certainly delivers on it. It shows an example to children about how unhealthy habits can lead to health risks and lowers the quality of life. Children get the chance to rethink how sanitary the things they do are. Some may argue that the fight in Frank’s body is showing kids violence, but the smallest forms of violence can be seen in many PG movies all across the board. He is a white, American man around his 40s, living in the lower middle class. The most notable of his character is his diet and bad lifestyle. A stereotype that is shown in this movie is that an unhealthy diet leads to a miserable life. Yes, eating unhealthy foods may make parts of your life difficult, but it doesn't mean that it is the end all. The movie also plays into the idea of the midlife crisis, which is a term many have heard before. During this time in Frank's life, he doesn’t care about his health, and wont listen to his daughter's advice until things get dangerous. If there was a group to take offense from the movie, it would be those who have similar habits as Frank. Because of Frank's lifestyle, his house is a mess, and he does things many find disgusting. Viewers could see this as the directors making fun of their lifestyles. At the end of the movie, Frank goes on a hike with his daughter and eats healthy foods. This could offend some viewers, making them feel guilty about what they
