Overall Experience
We had an extremely positive experience through developing our site. I really liked the fact that the website wasn’t completely put into my hands, it was nice being in a group environment where everyone carried their own weight. I also liked the fact that my group worked very well together. We divided the workload evenly, so that nobody felt overwhelmed, or like they had way too much to do. Throughout the semester we’ve worked like a well-oiled machine to complete all of our actions steps within the given time span. We also worked extremely hard to ensure that we met all of the requirements for each action step. We focused a lot on UX (User Experience) which was something that we picked up on very early into the semester. The reason we made UX a primary focus was because we felt that developing a great overall experience for our users would keep current users coming back and also attract new ones. We came to the conclusion that simplicity and ease of use is one of the main things that every great website needs in order to be a successful site. Our focus on UX was one of the main reasons our site turned out the way that it did. Since we set the whole “simplicity” goal right from the start we decided that UX would be a driving force behind our site. I am an extremely avid user of social media. I have an account for almost every social media site out there. I really enjoyed being able to view social media from a technical standpoint and how it affects marketing. I also enjoyed learning about social media sites that I haven’t really used before such as Pinterest and LinkedIn. The social media section that we covered was definitely what stuck out to me the most in this course, and it was a section that I could actually relate to on a personal level since I use social media every single day. Being able to relate to the topic and being extremely intrigued by it was one of the primary reasons why I did so good on the performance opportunity that related to that
