Parents want their children to be successful in their life, therefore, they do their best to bring them up well. Children are very innocent, they count on their parents to show them the right direction and its parent’s job if they raise them overprotected or teach them to live independently. Raising children is challenging for parents, and they have their own ways to raise them. However, there is a huge difference between overprotected and independent children in regard to their abilities, behavior and accomplishments. Independent children are more capable to make their own decision; they develop their own skills to make efforts to accomplish their goals because that’s what their parents have taught them. Although independent kids consider that their parents have other responsibilities and they hold themselves accountable for sharing their parents’ responsibilities. On the other hand, coddled children have difficulties in making decisions, they do not want to do effort either as they know their parents will give them everything in the plate of gold. Independent kids have strong, active, social and confident personality. If they are not able to get anything they do not get mad and hopeless, they have much control on their emotions, whereas coddled children have a deficiency of confidence, they get bad habits, spoiled, cranky and affect their health while just sitting and ordering their parents for everything.
