The Title IX is a law that requires all education programs, mainly sports, that are federally funded to have gender equality. In 1906 the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) was created for formatting and enforcing rules in men's football, but it soon became the ruling body for college athletics. The NCAA was great for men but not so much for women, women did not get athletic scholarships and there were no championships for women's teams. In 1972 the Title IX was signed by President Nixon and passed, allowing more women to join sports teams and get college degrees. Currently there are more than 2.6 million girl athletes in high school and more than 150,000 in college.

If I could make a Ithaca College honors seminar I would have us examine what the use of silence can do with in art. We would examine this using multiple platforms including theatre, music, movies, as well as some literature and writings about the effect of silence. I would give the class the whole material and allow them to come to their own opinion on what exactly these pauses do. For each exposure to the material I would require the members of the class to do their own short individual reflect before coming in, to allow people to already have at least a bit of their own form opinion. This class would be mainly rooted in class discuss, I would help by providing questions or clips to help spark the conversation but I would hope it would be environment where people wanted to share their opinions and discuss with their classmates with help from me, the professor.

You’re walking through an underground pass, and you notice something strange. You happen to be near Gloucester, UK, and you see a large mural while walking around with your coffee in your hand. It happens to be a work of Chiho Aoshima, a rising artist of the Japanese Contemporary movement. You stand a few minutes, letting the busy crowd wash over you like busy fish over a stationary pebble in a stream. Your coffee is cold now, but you feel warmed by the vibrant colors of the mural.
In addition to the grade point average of students, an individual should be respectable, intelligent, and mature to gain acceptance into National Honor Society. Scholarship can be shown in many ways, and is not only limited by grade point average. To me, scholarship can be defined as someone excelling in school by trying their hardest and making an attempt to educate themselves to the best of their ability.
Being a part of the National Honor Society will help me to improve academically, and socially. I would also like to advance my leadership abilities and be able to contribute to more service activities. One of my goals is to be a good role model to other students and show how hard work and dedication will pay off. I love the quote, “Life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about creating yourself.” To me, this quote means that whatever you do in life, shows who you are as a person, and the NHS will help me do that.

The Importance of a Company’s Culture The culture of a company is one of the most important and sometimes overlooked factors in an organization.
